meet in paristwo days with Lina, was fantastic. pics soon. 08 de outubro missing moscowJust a quick note... missing moscow... slightly... for various reasons... strange... time offOk, for the first time in about 8 years it seems like I've got a month off... not all true, 2000 work at varisty started 16th October, 2004 wotk at GT started 1st June, now 2008 work in Moscow kicked off 23rd June...never a break, seldom much headspace. Being free of work and without working are two very different things, the prior being a release from responsibilities, the latter a complete lack of responsibility))) One is never without work when running ones own company.
04 de outubro undirectedYea, something like Everclears - Unemployed Boyfriend))) Though surely not for long... stumblingOk, things have happened tooo fast. First it was back to Russia, then to Dubai to pitch our venture, then Russia for just a few more days toward the contract expiry and winding down as we suspended the funds to further finance this venture. Its on hold, markets are not great and investors are holding back. Fine, not a huge problem though raising $6mil for some is like spare change... it would have been fun starting this retail brokerage, but the opportunity is not forfeited...my longer term interest would have been equity participation with a conservative stable base remuneration just to cover the cost. I'd consider myself quite reasonable with those expectations, not to bite the hand that feeds yet surely not to miss out on a good meal. And thus, I think the appropraite word is stumbling... wrapped up quickly, sadly. Had a great few nights with Lina, dinners, museums, clubs with friends... she has great energy, beaming personality... and her fun (tiny!) friend Luba))) The days were few, the flight out of Domodedovo scheduled for Tuesday... and was "leaving on a jet plane, dont know when ill be back again" ...
Stumbled into Zurich, touch down with my sister. Met some ASW friends last night, great company once again... lovely people. Meeting Petra, my dear old school friend and close neighbour, to catch up on our many years gone by... will be fabulous, some time to refresh. |
