Unknown to few, and only very few as the unique bright neon lights are the landmark reference, I live just near an Adult World...yes, its been there for longer than the 7 years I've resided in Craighall, and certainly attracts the most affluent individuals for a private screening from the neighbouring upmarket areas such as Hurlingham, Craighall, Hyde Park, Dunkeld and others. It so came last night that I heard a violently loud bang, a thud and few other unusual noises. Seeing as it was way too late after only having gotten to bed at 1:30 coding away at the awesome ExtJs framework and researching the .Net implementation under Coolite, I was in too tired a state to even get up and bother with the racket. Turns out that a friendly police man arrived thos morning to take pictures of the breakin!?! He had the right address but we couldn't confirm such incident, until he took his camera to the Adult World to snap a few pics from the overly large but-now-denolished safe that had been forced off its base onto the floor. What is even more amazing is that they used powertools and angle grinders to force the steel block open; and then took their time around 3am to make off on their way with R32,000. Now really, while the Adult World might attract its fair share of Jag, Merc, expensive Land Rovers among a few dinky neglected cars of frequent visitors, I'.m quite peturbed by the proximity of this violence and malicious destruction!
